The situation that we are confronted with in 2022, was foreshadowed by Charles Mackay in his book – Extraordinary Popular Delusion and the Madness of Crowds. (1841). His message in brief: No matter how batshit-crazy a story is, it will be swallowed by the crowd once mob-psychology has been energised.
By far the most influential early publication was – The Crowd – A study of Popular Mind/Crowd Psychology (1895) by Gustave Le Bon. These two publications, among others, heavily influenced Sigmund Freud, Wilhelm Reich, Edward Bernays and a whole string of others that guided our destiny. The message is clear: Masses, especially masses of mixed descent, are easy to excite, easy to manipulate, easy to control and easy to throw into panic mode, as long as you are in control of designing and presenting their images, opinions and passions.

This is best achieved by installing a robust guilt-complex based on perpetual “historic guilt” that cannot be erased – ever. In the hands of gifted psychopaths, the consumers of the propaganda drive are turned into a pliable mass that can be shaped into any mould. In the year 2022 we have to admit that Charles Lindbergh warned us in vain. We are reminded again that current conflicts are deeply rooted in times past. The Ultra-nationalism of Stefan Bandera, that is currently dictating the direction in the Ukraine, emerged under the Polish and communist terror-regimes in the Ukraine between the two world wars. The instigators of the current war of 2022, who are as we find out once again, residents of far-away nations, knew this very well. All they had to do is build up the heat, organise a coup in 2014 and the pot bubbled over.

We will later look at the true background of the unbelievable atrocities that were committed by all parties during WW II. I was privileged to have grown up in a remote part of the world where the effects of the relentless Zeitgeist compliant propaganda, that most western nations were subjected to, did not leave large footprints. This, I believe, allowed me to view historic events from a different perspective and to arrive at a more balanced opinion.

But let’s leave this mendacious segment of world history aside for now, and focus in the third part again on events in Southwest Africa, today Namibia.
